COOLING X: CLOUD SERVER QUALITY ON YOUR DESK

For over 30 years, Cooler Master has led the way in industrial server cooling and pioneered PC components for gamers, creators, and PC enthusiasts. Cooler Master’s Cooling X leverages our experience and the same industrial-grade materials, design, and thermal engineering used in the world's most advanced servers and supercomputers, to deliver a prebuilt system unlike any other.

The Origin of the Cooling X

A standard cloud server rack contains densely packed, high-performance computing hardware that requires advanced cooling within a confined space.

For decades, Cooler Master has addressed the challenges of server cooling by innovating thermal and power solutions for leading cloud enterprises worldwide. Our expertise in server thermal management has culminated in the Cooling X, a compact, high-performance workstation with a volume of just 14.8 L (3.2 gallons). By making smart use of every inch of space, we've engineered one of the most advanced liquid-cooled workstations on the market.

Design & Materials That Mean Business

Although designed for the home or workspace, the Cooling X is built with materials and manufacturing processes suited for far harsher environments. The Cooling X is made using advanced materials and technologies such as anodic aluminum, CNC machining, and friction welding.

The Cooler Master design team sought to create a sleek visual design that allows the Cooling X to be displayed proudly or blend seamlessly into any environment. While the base design draws on server racks, unlike the source of inspiration, a seamlessly integrated handgrip on the top side enhances the portability of the Cooling X, making it easy to move when needed.

Advanced Liquid Cooling System

One of the many standout features of the Cooling X is its bespoke liquid cooling system, inspired by the technology and design used to cool advanced cloud servers. The Cooling X utilizes an in-house designed semi-passive liquid cooling system with two custom-engineered proprietary side panels providing passive cooling for a liquid cooling system that features a 240 mm (9.45 in) radiator with two of Cooler Master’s flagship Mobius fans.

The side panel radiators have a total heat dissipation surface of 8512 cm² (about 279.27 ft²). This system uses 147% more coolant than a typical 240 mm AIO cooler, enhancing thermal capacity for heavy loads and long usage hours. The built-in pump, developed by Cooler Master’s industrial thermal division, offers a flow rate of 320 liters per hour and completes 4.5 liquid cycles per minute, showcasing our commitment to superior thermal management.

Cooling X Coolant Closed Loop Cycle:

  • 1. The coolant is pumped from the pump to the CPU and GPU.

  • 2. It then flows to the right-hand side panel, where it is passively cooled by the side panel.

  • 3. Next, the liquid moves through the back-panel AIO cooler radiator, where it is actively cooled by two Mobius fans.

  • 4. Finally, the coolant enters the left-side panel for additional passive cooling before returning to the pump- restarting the cycle.

Tranquility Meets Reliability

The Cooling X operates quietly, with ambient sound levels peaking at 28 decibels, even during intensive tasks like rendering. This is possible due to Cooler Master’s unique semi-passive cooling system. Additionally, the in-house designed and manufactured ultra-quiet Mobius 120 fans feature a magnetically stabilized shaft, oil reflow system, anti-dust construction, ring blade design, and anti-vibration dampers. These features ensure both noise reduction and a mean time to failure (MTTF) of 200,000 hours (or about 22 years of continuous use).

Performance Beyond the Specs

With its efficient cooling, compact design and quiet operation, the Cooling X is an excellent choice for creators and professionals. Furthermore, the Cooling X comes equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3 and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, delivering outstanding performance for virtually any computational and creative task.
